If you know me than you might know that Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love the natural “joy” that radiates through the air, the spirit of giving, the way the house smells from baking all those Christmas goodies and the smiles of little children as they wait with anticipation. Most of all though, I enjoy the opportunity to “reset” and renew my focus on the true meaning of Christmas…the birth of a Saviour, Christ Jesus. I enjoy taking the time to transform our home into a Christmas wonderland* with little reminders of true Christmas blessings, which reach far beyond the beautifully wrapped gifts that sit beneath the tree or trinkets that fill stockings!
(*I say Christmas wonderland because “winter” wonderland just doesn’t seem fitting when the weather outside is more delightful than it is frightful! )
It’s reminders of family…

like these cute star ornaments that I personalized with each of our names.
Reminders of true devotion and love…

Like this ornament and the dozen others that tell the story of Jesus birth and purpose.
Reminders of true wonder…

like a little baby named Evan who has to touch the ornaments just “one more time!”
Reminders of peace…

like a little boy named Caden who is exhausted from a long day of play!
Reminders of times of joy…

like this ornament I picked up on our family trip to Disney World! Which reminds me that I have photos to share so check back soon for that post!
So with that, have a very Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
